"JUSTICE NOT VENGEANCE"

Simon Wiesenthal had a desk that never ceased to have an impossible stack of papers upon it. He is known for all of the Nazi murderers and other terrorists he tracked down, but we don't know the number of all of the murderers who were never apprehended. I am sure the number is staggering and probably the papers on his desk do not have a complete list of the perpetrators.

What's amazing to me is how people would help these thugs escape. After the war, it became clear, largely from Simon Wiesenthal's work, that people from inside the Vatican helped Nazi's escape and settle mostly in South America, mostly in impossible outposts like Uruguay or Paraguay-OOOOOO.

The Nazi's had a game they loved to play inside the walls of the concentration camps. It was a camp rule that inmates would be shot if they tried to climb the electrified fence. Some days they would charge the prisoners to touch the fence or otherwise they'd be shot. You were proverbially damned if you did and damned if you didn't and of course dead in the end. The strangest thing to me, but not too surprising, is how so many of the Nazi camp commandants were nice people, good church going people who would never do the things they were purported to do. It's all so incomprehensible to me, but the stories Simon Wiesenthal tells have been corroborated by many others. PLEASE READ.

Albeit he frequently lamented the loss of his original profession, that of architect, he became an architect of moral conscience in the post-World War 2 era.

Had not idea her life was so interesting!

She was a lot more versatile and respected in the industry than I thought. Also makes Aaron Spelling look like a really good guy. Really enjoyed the book.

I rarely read an entire book now a days. Being a writer, I'm somewhat jaded and was told when i began writing that it would forever change the way I read Books, watch TV and Movies. That is certainly true. The writing is good and engaging, but the subject is enchanting. As a kid I adored Morticia. She was the mother I always wanted. Kind, gentle, sexy and a bit kooky After reading this book i realized that Mortica wasn't just a character on a favorite childhood TV show. Afterall, there were many from the 60's that I fell in love with; Maryann from Gilligans Island, Wrangler Jane from F Troop, etc.. But Mortica always stood out as extra special and now I know why. Carolyn Jones didn't just play a kooky character on TV, she was that character. Like all great actors, she became her character. A good script, a sexy outfit, a beautiful woman and puff a great character, right? But Carolyn Jones' portrayal of Morticia goes far beyond great... it's iconic, because after reading her life story and the stories of those around her and apart of her life, I've discovered that she is iconic as well. James Pylant does a wonderful job of keeping you engaged and interested, but what i doscovered is that he had it easy, he had the perfect subject to write about. I read this book cover to cover in one afternoon. That's something I've never done before.

I loved this book. One of Carolyn's biggest fans! The pictures made it even better for me. Like I said, I'm one of her biggest fans, and was over joyed with the personal quotes and pictures Mr. James Pylant included in his book. A must read for those who would like to know more about the one and only Carolyn Sue Jones!

I have in the past purchased Julian's James Bond Cold Reading book and his Palm Reading book. For me this is one of the best. I find I am more in tune with numbers than the others. I always have a deck of cards and certainly the places I frequent there are cards as well.

The fact that you can use a few cards, a few more to create a simple or more complex reading is terrific. Make it as long or short as you'd like.

Julian's audio book (available for free from his site) is also top notch! Lots of valuable audio files to use while driving or sitting in a Doctor's office.

Best available book on cartomancy

This is the best book on cartomancy that I know of, and I have read many books on the subject over the last 40 years. Great for beginners and even experienced readers may find something new here, too. Julian Moore writes extremely clearly and has a great system for remembering the meanings of the cards. There is homework! But it is easy and fun and if you follow his program you will very soon be reading cards in a real and meaningful way.

Worked better than I imagined

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is serious about learning cartomancy. When I have bought 'How to' books in the past, it seems like I start reading them but get bored within a few chapters. This was not the case with 'Speed Learning Cartomancy'. The author keeps you interested by having you stop reading, breaking out your practice deck, and doing some fun practice work. I didnt get bored or lose interest once and I was doing readings for my friends in no time. I hope you have as much fun with this book as I did and may the Cards fall in your favor ;)

Speed Learning Cartomancy is absolutely THE WORK in this field. Not only does it strip away the multi-level confusion that so many other books and systems leave you with, but in moments you will begin to FEEL the "power" in card readings!

David Galef is an American scholar, novelist, critic, poet, translator and essayist. He is professor of English at Montclair State University and author of many books of fiction and poetry, including including Turning Japanese (1998), Flaws (2007), and My Date with Neanderthal Woman (2011).

Jun Hashimoto is a New York-based artist and illustrator. His art and illustrations have graced everything from Scotch labels to book covers.

It is sage, it is witty and its so easy to read. I have received many hours of enjoyment from this book. You don't need to spend hours reading it--just put it down when you want and pick it up when you have time to read more.

I never read it...

I have never read this book but I bought it for my boyfriend for his birthday and he loves it. He is trying to memorize all the proverbs and keeps bringing random ones up in conversation. In all honesty it sounds like a good book of proverbs to me. He said it is put out by a company that does Japanese language teachings so it is a good book for someone who is studying Japanese.
