Fascinating! Worth reading over and over!

I purchased the book digitally because I simply could not wait to have it arrive.I found the book to be thought provoking and spiritually a lesson from beyond the scope and measure of what I had experienced before. When you get the call to answer to the Great Mothers, you don't walk, you run and every moment since that encounter I have been given more and more information. Some say they should never be approached, some say initiations must be had. But what about those women who are called across oceans of time and space, through generations to speak into the ear of those who will listen. Those Great Mothers respond in such a way that you cannot imagine. This book was the doorway, the gate to a deeper understanding of what I will not look away from. I pray for your blessings Chief Fagbemileke Fatunmise, I thank you for bringing this into the hands of those who are ready, into the hands of those who need it.

A much needed discourse...

A much needed discourse on a topic that is very much central to the Yoruba Traditional Religion, but often goes overlooked or understated due to secrecy, sexism, and fear.
The book is different from the few other books on the topic in that the author is not an academician but rather an initiated priestess -- thus her insights are direct source and invaluable to any serious reader.

Iyami

The writer really did a great job emphasizing the importance of Iyami; however her ability to articulate it properly fell short. Often some of the same things were being said in the book over and over and over. Where there were repeats there could have been more valuable information on the Iyami.
